Feeling beautiful, for me, it’s all about having soft, supple, and smooth skin—a feeling I believe everyone deserves to experience. Inspired by the self-care practices of my mother, who used natural remedies to nurture her hair and body, I realise that beauty is not just about looking good—it’s a holistic journey towards feeling good from within.

The creation of OriēnMir began with a problem: dry, itchy, and flaky skin. Trying to solve this seemingly simple issue was frustrating, especially during the winter. So, I started combining oils and butters in store-bought creams to moisturise my skin, inspired by my mother and her skincare rituals. It worked! My skin was no longer dry, but I still longed for the soft touch of my skin. I began to reminisce about my mother creating skincare elixirs using oils and plant extracts passed down from her Jamaican grandmother. Her care for her skin and hair motivated me to take care of my overall well-being. I realised that her rituals were more than just remedies; they were a way of feeling good. Her mixtures embodied care and self-love. Through OriēnMir, I hope to share this ritual of wellness with you.
